EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM TIMELINE

VisionQwest Healthcare Services international recruiting program provides the best Nurses from international locations to client firms in the United States. It is very important to us to find the bright and the best because that is what our clients expect from VisionQwest.

Qualification Requirements

  1. Completion of accredited nursing program
  2. Validation of credentials
  3. Verification of current acute care employment
  4. English language proficiency
  5. TOFL / CGFNS / NCLEX / IELTS
    (Both NCLEX and IELTS needed for ALL nurses)

Timeline

Step 1  Join VisionQwest (1 day to 3 weeks)

  1. Fill Out Employment Application
  2. Send Resume
  3. Meet your Recruitment Specialist
  4. Sign Employment Agreement

Step 2  Registered Nurse Licensure (4 months)

  1. We apply to the Board of Nursing for permission for you to take NCLEX exam
  2. Work with Education Specialist through your own Study Plan
  3. Set a date to test
  4. Attend seminars and workshops
  5. PASS THE NCLEX TEST!

Step 3  Immigration (6 - 8 months depending on US imigration backlog)

  1. Apply for your Legal Permanent Residence (Green Card) USCIS Prep (formerly INS)
  2. Progress to NVC (National Visa Center) for further validation
  3. Obtain Visa Screen Certificate and review and verify English language
  4. Prepare for Green Card interview with our guidance
  5. Obtain Green Card Approval

Step 4  International Extended Study and Work Readiness (2 to 3 months)

  1. Bridge international practice gaps
  2. Prepare for acculturation issues professionally and personally
  3. Prepare for hospital specific testing that may be required

Step 5  Finding the "right" job for you (0 months - immediate work upon arrival)

  1. Review
  2. Create profile (resume, skills checklist, references)
  3. interview with Placement Specialist
  4. Profile Presentation
  5. Interview with Hospital Representative
  6. Accept Employment Offer
  7. Skilled Nursing Nursing Homes - Automatic Placement

Step 6  Arrival Across the Waters (1 week)

  1. Meet & Greet
  2. Welcome to your new home - acculturation and transition support
  3. First Day on the Job
  4. Facility Orientation

Please note that the timeline stated represents only estimated durations for each of the steps and some steps may overlap one another. The program timeline is contingent upon both your participation and the governing immigration bodies.
